	Or do you know someone who should be? Nomination forms have been emailed out to every full-time enrolled student at Nayland College, along with all the extra information you need to know. Nominations close 12pm Monday 19 August and voting will take place on Wednesday 4 September. Get on board today! Email sarah.gwyn@nayland.school.nz with any questions.

	School will close at 1:00pm on Friday due to Year 8 Experience Day. P3 - 11:30am - 12:15pm P4 - 12:15pm - 1:00pm

	All cast members for A Perfect Storm come to the PAC for an all cast meeting on Tuesday at lunchtime. Tuesday 20th August. See you there!
3. Cultural	Gala Concert Tues 24th September	JFE
	The 2024 Gala Concert is on Tuesday 24th September. it is a culmination of a jam-packed year of performing at Nayland College. This celebration of the Arts features items from Vast Dance Festival, the Solo Performing Arts Competition, The Addams Family, the Contemporary Music showcase, Rock Quest, the KBB Music Festival, the NZCF Big Sing and the Dance Showcase. Join our instrumental groups, choirs, dancers and actors for this wonderful celebration of the Arts. 4. Careers	Learners Drivers Licence Course	AHS
	If you are Year 13 and don't have your Learners Licence yet, you can attend a 2-day course held by a driving instructor here at school. You will learn all you need to know to go and sit your Learners Licence. Limited places available, register now at the Careers Office.
4. Careers	Scholarships for University	MRI
	Year 13's please note scholarship applications for Canterbury and Otago close this Thursday 15 August. Victoria Uni close on 2 September. Please check all your dates if you are applying for any scholarship.
4. Careers	UC Teaching Open Evening	MRI
	Canterbury University are holding an Open Evening for Teaching on Thursday 15 August, 4:30pm - 7:00pm at the UC Nelson Campus, FM Building, 145 Collingwood Street, Nelson.
