  The art club welcomes students to spend time in our art room during lunchtimes. It will be a quiet space to be creative and enjoy making your own art. To make this successful we need to leave the room clean and tidy and respect the space.

1. General Gym toilets BGS
  The gym toilets and changing rooms are for students in PE lessons only. All other students must use the SuperLoo. They will be locked at break times due to a small number of students vandalising this area.

 
 
1. General Hospitality Window JIS
  Soy, ginger, and garlic braised pork buns with coleslaw and sriracha mayo.
$5 @ lunch time Tuesday and Wednesday.

 
 
1. General Lost property hoodies & jackets JEE
  If you have lost your non-uniform hoddie or jacket over the past few weeks, please come to the Student Centre on the deck at Lunchtime to reclaim it. We need to reunite these items to their owners,

 
 
2. Meetings Knitting & Crochet Club SMD
  Join us every Monday lunchtime in Room 16.
Open to both beginners and experts, we provide knitting needles and wool, or you can bring your own. Come and enjoy a fun, creative break with us!

 
 
2. Meetings Waiora NGT Practice CGR
  Waiora NGT Practice in the oudoor ed room at lunch on Wednesday. Anyone from Waiora welcome.

 
 
3. Cultural Gala Concert Tues 24th of September JFE
  The 2024 Gala Concert is on Tuesday 24th September. it is a culmination of a jam-packed year of performing at Nayland College.
This celebration of the Arts features items from Vast Dance Festival, the Solo Performing Arts Competition, The Addams Family, the Contemporary Music showcase, Rock Quest, the KBB Music Festival, the NZCF Big Sing and the Dance Showcase.
Join our instrumental groups, choirs, dancers and actors for this wonderful celebration of the Arts.

3. Cultural YOUR Education - Exchanges abroad GMR
  Your Education is accepting bookings for our exchanges departing in August 2025, December 2025 and January 2026. We have also just launched an Early Bird Discount for these departures. The first ten students to be accepted onto an exchange will receive $1,000 off the programme fee!!

We also have limited places available to some destinations for December 2024 or January 2025 departures.

4. Careers Canterbury University Course Planning MRI
  Canterbury University Course Planning is on Monday 9 September, Room 22 at 10:50am - 11:40am. Any students intending to study at Canterbury for 2025 are encouraged to attend.

 
 
4. Careers Interested in the Defence Forces? AHS
  The Armed Forces are holding an Open Evening TONIGHT for anyone with an interest, as well as friends and family, to find out about a career in the NZ Defence Force (Army, Navy or Airforce). Whether you want to know about the Reserves, or regular Forces, there will be weapons displays and demonstrations along with the opportunity to ask questions and find out more. Head to the NZDF Recruiting Depot, corner of Rutherford and Hardy Streets on Wednesday 4 September, from 6pm onwards.
