1. General CAAs (literacy and Numeracy) start next week CVR
  This term the CAAs will run in week 8 and week 9 for students in years 10 and 11 who are entered. Make sure you check with your English and Math Teachers today to see which ones you are entered into:
Tuesday 10th September 9.50am: Numeracy. (Bring your device, a calculator and a pen/pencil.)
Wednesday 18th September 9.50am: Reading. (Bring your device.)
Thursday 19th September 9.50am: Writing. (Bring your device.)

 
 
1. General Gym toilets BGS
  The gym toilets and changing rooms are for students in PE lessons only. All other students must use the SuperLoo. They will be locked at break times due to a small number of students vandalising this area.

 
 
1. General laptops for senior exams reminder RTL
  Please remember to bring your CHARGED LAPTOP, and powercord / power bank to school for your digital assessments / exams. There are very few spare laptops available - do not count on being able to use one if you forget yours. Thank you for being organised and good luck!

 
 
1. General reminder about earbuds & headphones RTL
  This is a reminder that earbuds and headphones are to be away in bags when you walk into class, and are only to be used with teacher permission.

 
 
3. Cultural Gala Concert Tues 24th of September JFE
  The 2024 Gala Concert is on Tuesday 24th September. it is a culmination of a jam-packed year of performing at Nayland College.
This celebration of the Arts features items from Vast Dance Festival, the Solo Performing Arts Competition, The Addams Family, the Contemporary Music showcase, Rock Quest, the KBB Music Festival, the NZCF Big Sing and the Dance Showcase.

3. Cultural YOUR Education - Exchanges abroad GMR
  Your Education is accepting bookings for our exchanges departing in August 2025, December 2025 and January 2026. We have also just launched an Early Bird Discount for these departures. The first ten students to be accepted onto an exchange will receive $1,000 off the programme fee!!

We also have limited places available to some destinations for December 2024 or January 2025 departures.

4. Careers Canterbury University Course Planning MRI
  Canterbury University Course Planning is on Monday 9 September, Room 22 at 10:50am - 11:40am. Any students intending to study at Canterbury for 2025 are encouraged to attend.

  Otago University Course Planning is on Tuesday 10 September, Room 22 at 2:30pm - 3:30pm. Any students planning to attend Otago in 2025 are encouraged to attend.

 
 
4. Careers Victoria University Course Planning MRI
  Victoria University Course Planning is on Tuesday 10 September, Room 22 at 11:00am - 12:00pm. Any students planning to attend Victoria in 2025 are encouraged to attend.

 
 
5. Sports Touch SRD
  Any students interested in playing in the College Touch competition at Tahunanui on a Tuesday afternoon during term 4 and term 1 next year, please see Sara in the sports office.
