  Four Nayland College students have been selected as part of the Celestielle Scholarship to travel to Cambodia in the October school holidays to support the work of REACH Siem Reap. REACH is an English school with a goal of improving the living conditions of children, youth and families in the Siem Reap community. 1. General Environmental Action Camp opportunities for year 9 & 10 AWL
  This is a 2 day/1 overnight course at Whenua Iti Outdoors. NayCol are accepting up to 30 students to attend and is FREE, for year 9 & 10 students only.
Course dates run in either November or the start of December.

Course Aim: to increase students’ knowledge and connection to the natural world and find ways they can take positive action to address environmental challenges and live more sustainably.

2. Meetings Knitting & Crochet Club SMD
  Join us every Monday lunchtime in Room 16.
Open to both beginners and experts, we provide knitting needles and wool, or you can bring your own. Come and enjoy a fun, creative break with us!

 
 
3. Cultural Gala Concert Tues 24th September JFE
  The 2024 Gala Concert is on Tuesday 24th September. it is a culmination of a jam-packed year of performing at Nayland College.
This celebration of the Arts features items from Vast Dance Festival, the Solo Performing Arts Competition, The Addams Family, the Contemporary Music showcase, Rock Quest, the KBB Music Festival, the NZCF Big Sing and the Dance Showcase.

4. Careers NMIT Open Day Saturday 21 September AHS
  If you are interested in studying at NMIT, want to find out about study options or gain insight into student life, head along to NMIT's open day this coming Saturday. Bring your whanau along for a tour, attend interactive sessions and view displays from the Fire Service, Police and Defence Force, as well as bouncy castles, music and food. See the posters around school for more information.

 
 
4. Careers Whenua Iti 4 day Adventure Programmes AHS
  Whenua Iti are holiding 4-day Adventure Leadership Programmes (Level 2) in October and December. Focused on camping, tramping, navigation and bush skills, you can also gain 5 credits. The cost is $300 per student, see the poster in the covered way for more details and to apply. Note that the October programme is during school time, so would have to be cleared by your subject teachers to attend this session.

 
 
5. Sports Sports Uniforms SRD
  Please could we have all sports uniforms returned to the sports office. All Netball, Basketball, Hockey and Football. As well as any other sports uniform you may have. Thank you and well done on a fantastic season :-)
