  The last Friday of the month, the final Friday of the Term. Lunch time meeting in the Library to get you all holidaying with a good book to read. Discussion to take place around the biscuit platter.

1. General Nayland Pools carpark is out-of-bounds SGW
  The carpark at Nayland Pools is only for customers. There are community members who regularly attend events at the complex, even during winter months. Students must not park in their carpark. Thank you for respecting our neighbours and our community.

3. Cultural Trip to Borneo 2025 AWL
  World Challenge Expedition Relaunch – September 2025
We are excited to announce the relaunch of the World Challenge expedition for September 2025! We are just a few students short of making this journey possible. Instead of Sri Lanka, we will be heading to Borneo, with a conservation focus itinerary and cheaper option.
A summary of what to expect:
- Fly into and explore the city of Kuching
- See orangutans in their natural habitat
- Trek and camp in Kubah National Park
- Stay at a Turtle Conservation Centre and work alongside a team on environmental and community projects

4. Careers Environmental Camp for Y9/10 AHS
  If you are interested in the environment and want a fun, adventurous outdoors camping experience at Whenua Iti next term, come and put your name down in the Careers Office. You will be helping preserve our natural environment and work with a community group to make a real difference.

 
 
4. Careers McGlashen Young Achiever Scholarship MRI
  Are you 16 years of age, or under as at 30/09/2024? Live in the Nelson/Tasman district? Show a promising future in your chosen field (sport, arts, academia etc)? If so, you can apply for a McGlashen Pharmacy scholarship worth $1,000. Application forms are available at the Careers Centre, Block 2. Applications close 4 October

4. Careers Uni Scholarship for Brass or Percussion AHS
  If you will be going to Otago uni/polytech to study next year, and also play Brass or Percussion, you can apply for a $3,000 scholarship (no Brass Band experience is required). See the Careers Office for more details on how to apply.
