1. General	CACTUS - Term 3 2024	GMR
	CACTUS will be running in Term 3 2024. Collect your nomination form from the International Office in Block 2. Nominations close on Friday 14 June. If you have any questions, please talk with Gavin Millar or email gavin.millar@nayland.school.nz. CACTUS is a programme founded on basic army training. However, participants find there is much more to CACTUS than simply physical training. There are also opportunities to build self-confidence, leadership skills, communication skills and socialise with a wide range of people from all walks of life. Participants from Nelson College, Nelson College for Girls, Nayland College and Youth Nelson train three mornings a week (Monday, Wednesday and Friday) for eight weeks to build key attributes as individuals and as a collective group. Each session begins at 05:55am at the Nelson College for Girls gym. The course is run by an instructor, who is typically either a past or current member of the New Zealand armed forces. 	It's whole-school wellbeing week! WEDNESDAY: Come to the outdoor stage at lunchtime for music and vintage games. THURSDAY: Treat yourself to a FREE hot chocolate before school at the covered way by the hall 8.50-10 or until they run out. FRIDAY: come to the hall at lunchtime to decorate your own cupcake for only $1!! "While stocks last"

	Nayland's infamous Multicultural Food Market is happening on Wednesday in the canteen quad! Make sure you bring some cash to get your hands on some simply amazing food!
